Hi there! Walnut Avenue Design was founded in 2014 by Interior Designer, Rachel Whimpey. Rachel studied under top New York Designer, Amanda Nisbet, known for her exciting and fearless take on color. After returning to Utah to marry her now husband of two and a half years, Rachel worked under Logan Designer, Michele Dunker. Michele is known for her classic take on interiors and her beautiful neutral color schemes. Rachel has taken the best of both worlds and has developed a style all her own, thus stepping out into the world alone and creating Walnut Avenue Design.
Rachel believes that spaces evolve, that the perfect look doesn't happen immediately. Design is ever changing and evolving, as we find that perfect piece, or the one heirloom we've been dying to get, our spaces become more and more complete. With a belief that the more permanent finishes in a space should be timeless and neutral while furnishings and decor can be more playful and fun, Rachel will help you have a space that will be difficult to tire of.
